Because, in the game of life, nations, like individuals need to pick and choose their allies. Israel is not the only nation we have defended and supported during times of crisis.

One has to wonder if the US had not been involved with WWII, would, today, all of Europe fall under a single banner bearing a Swastica and called Hitlerdom?

I fear if we drop the ball in the middle east we might just as well run up the white flag.
