Perhaps. But I think many will decide that making the trip "down the road" for a bigger paycheck no longer makes economic sense, and take lower-paying jobs closer to their homes...in the suburbs and the country.

I'm not sure whether that will be good or bad on balance--they'll have more time to demand "city amenities" out where before they just slept and commuted from. We might see more of "the city" coming to our small towns and villages.
