Everything convenient costs more. It is much more convenient to get into your own vehicle and drive where you want when you want. Let's be honest. Public transportation is not very convenient. You have to go when they are going and switch lines to get where you want. You have to wait in line to get on the public transit (whichever form) and then get off and walk.
Would you really like to ride public transportation everywhere?
