You are smart to be weary of LAC foods. But commercially canned foods may well contain furans and most cans are lined with epoxy which leaches bisphenol. Funny how people are freaking out about Nalgene bottles, but those cans are heated to commercial sterility. I buy things canned in glass, primarily, if I buy canned goods. Menu planning is your friend, doing a monthly menu plan saves lots of money. I am going to either make or buy a solar oven, it would work very well here where I live (no clouds or rain all summer long). Potatoes are wonderful to grow, there is a link on KL gardening on how to grow them in a chicken wire cage.
