Again back in the dark ages. When the freeway first went through Spokane it took out the section of town the "colored peoople" lived. One of those was an RN who was head of nursing personal for all surgery units in the biggest hospital in town. Often working a double shift to fill in. Her husband made good money working for a car dealer. No one would rentor sell them a place to live. Sad to say they left Spokane.
