1976.That is the same year my father passed away,Then my stepmother the next week. Our town had educated people but most were honest even if they were wealthy.Some sent their kids off to big universities.The richest man in town made his boy shovel out the barn when he came in summers from A&M. But then came strange people to town later with big degrees.They would often set up to con people out of money either by business or as an elected person. They were educated to their profession but that was the limit.I am kin to one of them.He thought you were supposed to fill a front end loader bucket with a shovel.
