Good ideas all! Everyone needs to do what has been talked about here. And it's good to see that there are West Indian Rednecks too, as we have been doing just what you are planning for generations. Funny thing is we have always been chastised for carving out a self sufficient living by the ones that have always thought they were a better class of folks. Good, healthy living and self sufficiency has always been the Redneck way of life.

A note of warning though, there are lots of folks that are trying to take advantage of folks that are new to self sufficient living. Metaphorically (big word I learned on Bugs Bunny) speaking, it's the same as the buzzards that sit waiting for something to die for an easy meal. They are too lazy to hunt or kill the food, but they will be the first to eat their fill first at the trough, waste what's left and walk away looking for the next free meal. Never mind if the ones behind them eat or not or if there is any more for others that follow.
