get you a nice looking piece of lumber, nice grain. use a spade bit to countersink holes to the depth of the bottle cap. If you made it a little tight it would hold the cap but might also damage it. If not your covering will keep them in place. Drill your holes, sand, finish, and cover with plexiglass or glass. You could frame it to acceapt the glass. Or you could buy one of those clear plastic cases with little compartments shallow enough to acceapt the bottle cap and make foam inserts for each compartment with a cutout for the cap.
