a little off the subject, but help fix my bathtub

I need a little help with a bathtub problem. When the plumber installed it (regular steel tub) he didn't brace or support it well enough underneath. Now the caulk that is between the tub rim and the tub surround wall will not stay stuck. When we stand in it, the weight on the bottom of the tub pulls the caulk away from the wall pieces. I don't know how much water has gotten behind there, but I need to get it fixed before it gets worse. I've tried the best caulk I know of. I've tried putting weight in the tub while caulking. Nothing is working. Any suggestions? Thanks!
