Your first airplane ride??

First time I flew was in a DC3 going from San Diego to San Francisco. The ride turned out okay but not until I had made use of a certain bag.

It was about 1945 or '46 my Dad was about to retire from the Navy and San Francisco was the last place he was stationed at. We all went up to visit friends who lived there in a Quonset Hut.

Loved it when it rained - the sound on the metal roof was terrific.
