DICKINSON TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- A 42-year-old woman was killed Tuesday afternoon when a falling tree struck her moving vehicle in Dickinson Township, Cumberland County.

At about 4 p.m. Tuesday, Joanne Daly, of Carlisle, was driving on a private road when a tree uprooted and struck her vehicle.

Two passengers in the vehicle were unharmed.

State police and the Cumberland County coroner’s office are investigating the accident.
