I have seen religion used to promote all kinds of wacko ideas. Muslims and other extremists are not alone in this. There is a fair sized minority of Christians preaching their own bizarre forms of hate and justification for violence. And they aren't just in Northern Ireland.

y wife may not have a picture of a pumkin with a face on it anywhere on her desk, in her car on on school proprty. Why, because some Christian wack a doo church in the district, thinks it is devil worship to even mention Halloween. They preach tat anything connected with Halloween is devil worship and anyone who particpates is goin straight heck. How is it possible that such a group could so twist and contort a kid's holiday and a littl fun and then seek to prevent any mention of it. They argue that such devil worship is religion and as such the symbols may not be displayed in a tax payer run gov't school. I'll bet they are the only idiots in the entire country that think Halloween still has anything to do with religion.

Next,they will be arguing that St Patty's day is a CATHOLIC religious observance and must be banned. I'm sure after that,St. Valentine's day will fall as well. They will probably find a way to mess up Thanksgiving day.
