It's a real wood burner...last owner's daughter had asthma so they switched out to gas log....

I know enough about the old style fireplaces with no blowers (heatilator) - they suck out more heat than they create. I want the heat, not just the "decorative" factor a fireplace offers...plus I don't want to pay for it.
