who have conquered or on the road to recovery
from their addiction to tobacco. You have
added years to your life. I quit 35 yrs ago
when they went up to .65 cents a pack. lol.
My biggest hurrdle was alcohol. It started when
my high school bride died unexpectedly. I was
devistated. I was alone with 2 very young
children to raise. (I have great admiration for
single parents now) Afraid, unable to sleep,
heart broken, and the emotional pain too great
for words I found a new friend in alcohol.
A coworker told me if I drank one jigger of
whiskey it would help me sleep. Well, one lead
to two, then two to three, etc, etc, etc. I
became a full blown alcoholic. I almost lost
my kids, my home, and my job. I finally was
locked up in rehab for 6 weeks. I have been in
recovery for quite some time now. The grief
and alcohol consumption did a number on my health.
Its true what they say. Tobacco and alcohol are
both drugs. "JUST SAY NO TO DRUGS"
My addiction now is country cooking. I am a push
over for sawmill gravy, biscuits, fried chicken,
collard greens, etc, etc, and etc.
See there, now I've made myself hungry.
Keep the recipes coming and added to the
country cooking page. I look their quite often.
Keep safe and enjoy the Labor Day Weekend.
