Don't landlords require a security deposit equal to one month's rent? Doesn't the lease spell out cause for eviction if it should come to that? I don't know how much background check is allowed where you are (like job, source/ income, etc.). Mark. Oh yes, in an ideal world, LL treats tenant fairly AND vice versa.
