Bottom line is that none of us know the circumstances of what happened. Could have been misunderstanding of rules of engagement after this weekend's German fiasco, or any other number of things. Sherman's observation about war was both succinct and accurate. That's why we should avoid them whenever possible, and fight to win once we're involved.
