Don't you wish that the mill was still working?
We have here in our area called McConnells Mill State Park. In it is an old stone mill building, with all of the old mill machinery intact, inside the building. And a good flowing creek outside with mill pond and sluices and a stone dam.
Now, you would think that the State would be able to run the mill occasionally, but no-they say it would pollute the creek water if they ran the water thru the mill! HUH?? They say, with the new anti-pollution rules, they cannot discharge any water from the mill sluices, or if it has been run thru the paddle-wheel!
Well, i think it is a cop-out! But, thats Pennsylvania--always ruining things, in the name of fresh water, but i think it is done to give the politicians more for their pockets!
