The region is less stable now, when we pull out there will be a very good chance of all out civil war with three factions, the Sunis, Sheites and Kurds warring it out. Plus the Iranian question falls in there as the central govt in Iraq is weak. We expected a freed Iraq populace to welcome us with open arms as liberators. That did not happen. The country is in shambles there and ripe for civil war. The instability of the region is worsened.
