The Toro mower out there in the shop had a Vee belt 130 inches long at the price of 54 bucks.I would like to hear some comments on what a grand idea that is. Mine does not now. I converted to two shorter belts that track the pulleys and cost much less and toss way fewer belts. If you like the long belt with several wobbly idlers and bellcranks Im sure the Toro Corp loves you a great deal. You can put a few good words in here for their engineering det..By the way,Instead of a universal joint on the steering collum,They use hydro hose.Like a Craftsman 1/2 drive U Joint might have cost 4 bucks and last ten times longer. But why bother? The consumer loves junk and will pay a lot of money for junk as long as it is due monthly instead of cash.
