I don't 'judge' anybody based on their seksual orientation, but I do beleive that the lifestyle is a learned one and not a biological. If not in 100% of the cases then at least in 99% of them. I don't judge them, but that does not mean that I agree with them.
My babysitter is a prime example. I knew her for five years before she announced that she was a lesbian. She dated guys the whole time I knew her. She was overweight and shy and had trouble with meeting people anyway.
The next thing I know she's dating a woman and in a relationship. Here girlfreind is also overweight and shy. I don't know if she's truly happy or just beleives she is, but I had to tell her that I had a problem with it. I don't want her and her 'girlfriend' coming to visit.
If I stand there and smile happily and pretend that I have no problem with it then I not only am I a hypocrite but I send a message to my kids loud and clear that I think it is okay for two women or two men to be together and I don't. I can't help it. That's the way I feel and I refuse to change to suit whatever the current societal expectation is.
I have no hard feelings towards gay people, but as long as I am rasing children I have to stand behind my beliefs, unless I want my daughter to bring home a girlfreind or my son a boyfreind. If God intended for men to be with men and woemen to be with women then we would have reproductive systems that are a lot more complex than they are now. I do better in a don't ask don't tell environment.
