THANK YOU all soooo much for responding to my inquiry! You had some great thoughts, and I got some nice and informative e-mails too.

I probably should have mentioned that I currently live in beautiful Southern California, San Diego specificially. Housing prices are VERY high here and you can't even think of owning land for horses or ?

I think we're looking for small towns in perhaps Oregon, Washington, type areas. Seasons are good, but in moderation. I don't care for the hot weather or humidity. We like mountains, with lakes and lots of greenery.

Darryl & Rick you both made MO sound lovely,
I have family in Arkansas, and while it is nice and has county... it's toooooo hot for me ;-)
