I have had them run over my young trees and break the trees off. ( I guess I am a tree farmer) I have had them cut fences. They even pulled phone poles out of the ground that I use for gates and drag them off.
I got into a confrontation with 3 young guys about them out back. They told me I had NO RIGHT CLOSING THE TRAIL. Its a snowmobile trail and open to the public. When they started shouting me down I reached for the ax on the trailer. I figured I was going to the hospital or jail. They decided they best leave. I reported it to the state police. If I had a cell phone them I would have called them at the time.
Finally the snowmobile clubs got involved. They were loosing so many trails because of the ATVs they had to do something. They have put up sturdy gates and signs. They have tracked some down and had them arrested for trespass.
The ATVs run on the county land accrost the road from us. They have the trails over there all ripped to shut. Anyone that says the don't disrupt the enviroment is full of shut.
I have two guys that use ATVs to hunt here, One had open heart surgery 3 times and the other is in his 80s. They park in the yard here, ride back and park the machines on the tractor ways and hunt. I don't want either of them draging deer out.
The well checker also uses a ATV. He is a welcome sight, he keeps our free gas flowing. He also respects the land and a nice guy.
