Even with proper safety training, kids will still be kids. They feel they are invincible and keep pushing the limits until something happens. That is why they have parents, to lay down the rules and supervise. Some need supervision more than others. A lot of parents just don't realize what their kids are doing on those machines, and maybe some don't care.

We had one kid in our ATV safety class (the class was required through school) who passed because the teacher was looking over his shoulder and shaking his head at any wrong answers. They were True or False questions!! One was if it was okay to check the fuel tank with a match and he chose TRUE! I wouldn't want to be anywhere near that kid when he fuels up.
