Well, the finances are in place and we are going to fulfill one of my wife's life-long desires: to own horses.
We just sold our double-wide and that clears the site for the new horse barn. There is electricity and water in conduit underground close by.
I like to pick your brains for barn ideas and those little things you learn from experience. We will have up to three horses and there will be a couple of beer steers but they will be outside most of the time. Also there will be coral type fencing needed. We live in NorthEast Missouri so it needs to be weather tight. It will be 10 tonight and 5 tomorrow night with a strong wind sending the wind chill numbers down into the minus area.
We can handle small bales of hay so there should be a storage area for that and a tack room.
If any of you more experienced barn owners can pass along some hints it would sure be appreciated.
