Maybe things are different now, but we never had any trouble with the Hollywood crews - they sent scouts ahead, paid permits & fees, paid a month's rent for a day's scenery, paid double for damages & were MORE THAN generous to anybody with a complaint. Suzn had lunch with the stars in their trailers & everybody got autographed photos, lotsa locals became paid extras & people used to hope they'd come back, just for the business boost.

I tagged along to watch them shoot a campfire biker scene once: what with cars, airplanes, yardlites, insects, missed cues & botched lines, and rebuilding the fire, the outfit spent all night shooting about a 2 minute scene, spent thousands on everything, then that scene was cut from the movie. The next day they shot the helicopter scenes along the road. They're the best tourists anybody could hope for & they really try........
